Numbered Cakes

As you know we hire number cake tins in the shop and they are just £2 per tin for three days.  Some people love using them and others are reluctant bakers who have been requested to make one.  Below is a blog written by Jackie who is the expert with number tins.


Grease and line the tin and centre if needed e.g. with an 8 or 0.  The non-stick cake tin liner is ideal and this is sold in the shop on a ready cut roll.


Place the tin on a piece of kitchen foil which measures 4” larger than the tin and bring up the sides to form a non-leak base.  Grease the base and place on a baking sheet.


A 4 egg mixture per tin is the perfect combination for a successful cake.

Bake and cool in the tin before placing on a cooling rack.

Cake cards are available for both single and double numbers.
